So I took off last Friday, the day before Halloween and Dave and I did 2 cake tastings. The first one we loved all of the cakes, the guy was really nice, and we loved his design as well. He wasn't the least expensive but he wasn't the most expensive. The second place we went to, the fillings were great, but the buttercream frostings was soo sugary and the cake was OK. We decided to go with the first place we went to last Friday. When you go to these cake places, they sketch you a copy of the cake as well as the specifications. Dave had the copy and I wanted to see it again before we booked this place. I saw him last night finally. I called them today but they didn't answer so I emailed them. I don't like leaving messages about setting up consultations because it's so hard to call people back when I am at work. PLUS when I have a voicemail, for some reason my cell phone no longer shows the little symbol that I have one. So annoying and I sometimes forget and I will have a voicemail 3-5 days old! OOps.
So when I saw Dave last night we started looking at flower websites. I know NOTHING about flowers, how much they cost, which ones are in season, etc. I have been saving pictures of bouquets I liked since the summer, so I have an idea. We picked 4 places we are going to contact. I emailed one today.
So we found out last week that the sellers of the house owe the bank some money and cannot borrow it, since they are already borrowing. Our realtor and the other realtor have agreed to take a cut in the commission so we/the sellers could come up with the money. The sellers are trying to get a short sale now!! We specifically did NOT look at short sale houses because we wanted to qualify for the tax credit, it has been extended now, but we found out about this AFTER we locked in a really good mortgage rate. That rate will expire at the end of November. We either have to come up with the money, so we can get the tax credit and the mortgage rate, we could sue, or back out of the house. Well can you guess what option we are going with?? Our realtor suggested to see if the sellers would be willing to pay us back for coming up with that extra money. We would be saving them the hassle and money of going through the short sale. Short sales could take weeks or months, and it is only 2 weeks away to the closing date. Basically with a short sale, the bank is aware the sellers owe them money but will still allow them to sell the house, but there are lots of paperwork and this takes a lot of time. During that time, the sellers would still owe their monthly mortgage to the house as well as paying rent to the apartment they are moving to.
So anyways thats all that's going on with the wedding and the house. I went back to the gym tonight. Tomorrow would be 4 weeks that I have not gone to the gym. I am working 40 hours a week and taking 3 classes. It has been TOUGH. I have classes Tuesdays & Wednesday and an online class. Had my final for the online class this week though. It was extra tough because it was accelerated. I should be doing a lot better because I have been doing a TON of work lately, but I just don't have the time to spread out my studying evenly. Now I will have more time with the 2 classes! And going back to the gym! :) But school is number one. I ALMOST suspended my gym membership, but I have decided to just keep it.

Only I would get asked on a date 2 minutes after a dude tells me he thinks pregnant women are super hot and has an affinity for breast milk - and was then upset when I let him know if he got me pregnant I wouldn't let him have any of mine.
That's caliber. So glad I'm single again. Really.
